Gas steam management system
Evaporation of fuel is one of the main causes of vehicle emissions. National VI regulations require the evaporative emission system (EVAP) to be configured. EVAP mainly consists of activated carbon tank, steam control valve and fuel tank pressure sensor (FTPS). The fuel in the tank evaporates, resulting in a small pressure rise in the tank. ECU detects that the pressure rise exceeds the threshold through the standard pressure sensor of FTPS and opens the steam control valve to supply excessive steam to the engine for combustion. Meanwhile, fuel consumption will increase the vacuum degree of the tank. If the oil pipe connecting the tank and the carbon tank is blocked, the air cannot replenish the tank, and the fuel is not likely to be drawn out by the fuel pump. Insufficient oil supply may lead to flameout, so the absolute pressure sensor is needed to detect the carbon tank desorption pressure.
